Honor Societies
In high school my grades were ehhh and I was never able to qualify for (the) National Honor Society. And of course the year I graduated was the start of my school giving those in NHS chords to wear for graduation. Public schools always had their NHS inductees wear chords but my school always had to be different. Needless to say, I was one of the few people without them and it made me feel stupid....
